not perfect ... just Forgiven

proverbs is a powerful book of instruction. this instruction is not only for thought, but for deed as well. we learn that the teachings of proverbs focus on the entire body. as you read proverbs 4:23-26, you will get a clear picture of what i mean.

23 — Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.

24 — Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.

25 — Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you.

26 — Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. (NIV)

wow! that is a lot to think about. do we struggle with any of these? indeed, we all do. truth is, we are all sinners. every one of us falls short of the Glory of God (romans 3:23). yes! even us Christians! so, what are we to do? give up? absolutely not! we are to press on toward the goal of Eternal Life (philippians 3:14). we are to strive to go through that narrow door (luke 13:24) to Salvation.

how do you get started? the answer is simple: by having Faith in Jesus Christ. Amazing Grace! once you realize that you are not perfect and are in need of a Saviour, then you can begin your journey on that narrow path to righteousness. is the road easy? no. but, unlike other friends on this earth, this Friend will never leave you or forsake you (joshua 1:5). your Friend, Jesus Christ, will help you every step of the way! don't wait another second! invite your Friend into your heart now. He's waiting.

Christ's humbled (once again) servant,

Tamara
