It is finished!

since easter is approaching, i cannot think of a more important person to focus on than Jesus. what He did for you and for me is above and beyond what any person, past, present or future, could ever do. His work here on earth, so many years ago, began a huge movement. this movement drew people closer to Him and to God the Father.

Jesus, the Shepherd, led 12 men and countless others on a spiritual journey. Jesus, the Teacher, taught His Word and Truth to everyone He came into contact with. Jesus, the rebel, hung out with the riff-raff and healed people on the sabbath. Jesus, the humble Servant, washed His disciples' feet. Jesus, the ultimate Sacrifice, stretched out His arms knowing He would suffer a horrible death on a crude, wooden cross. Jesus, the Victor, rose on that third glorious day! Jesus, the Lamb of God, freely gave up His life so that we may live forever with Him in Heaven.

the Word of God says:

"for God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Eternal Life." john 3:16

these words speak of the emotion and sacrifice of our Heavenly Father. they also describe the Gift that He gives to those who believe in His Son, Jesus Christ. it is the very blueprint of Christianity. are you willing to place your faith in these words? are you willing to believe that Someone you've never met before died for your sins? are you willing to accept His Gift of Eternal Life?

friends, Jesus Christ has won! death has been swallowed up by His victory on the cross! He's done it all and every day is a day for celebration! put aside your fears, your worries and strife. lay down your sin, anguish and bitterness. place everything that hinders you at the foot of that wooden cross, and He will make your joy complete!
